Nick Fillod is a Brisbane based musician who performs popular and classic rock covers. Performing solo, Nick puts every ounce of energy he possesses into delivering engaging and meaningful entertainment to his audiences. He creates a rhythmic and harmonic backing track in real time by pushing the boundaries of a loop pedal, reminiscent to KT Tunstall or, more recently, Ed Sheeran’s live performance style.
Nick hopes to expand his horizons as a gigging musician around Brisbane’s various venues. With the ability to read a crowd, he delivers exactly what any venue needs from their entertainment every single night. Whether you’re after quiet background music or a very energetic crowd involved act Nick can deliver. Nick also owns quality sound equipment large enough for a medium venue seating 150, so you don’t have to worry about providing a PA!
Nick's burning desire to become one of Brisbane’s premier performers will not be stopped. Becoming a well known and sought after cover artist is what Nick is striving for now. In the long term, Nick is going to use that fanbase as a springboard to launch his own original rock/pop influenced music from. His dream is to be a full time musician.
Nick is currently the guitarist for Kristal West, a Grand Finalist from 'The Voice'. Together they have performed very recently at many national events such as ‘The Long Walk’ in Melbourne and Cairns Indigenous Art Fair. Nick is also a dedicated guitar, drum and saxophone teacher at Learn Music studios in the Redlands, Brisbane. With upwards of 30 weekly students Nick provides consistent and exceptional teaching services to both beginner and advanced students. Nick is a common face around the various open mic venues of Brisbane such at Stones Corner Open Sessions. Making the most of any opportunity to perform Nick gives it his all, consistently amazing audiences and bar staff alike.
